Quintana doesn't allow vehicles on its portion of the beach. But further west is Bryan Beach, currently owned by the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department, which has decided to give it to the City of Freeport. Bryan Beach is known as "the family" beach to Brazoria County residents. You can drive on it and park just about wherever you want. Across the channel is Surfside, which seems to attract a more rambunctious beach crowd.
